#CruiseClub #015 – A Few Good Men (1992)
You want the truth? You can’t handle how good this movie is! #CruiseClub keeps on churning out one hit after another. This time: A Few Good Men. We’re heading down to Guantanamo Bay to begin our investigation — and pick up Tobin Addington of The Contenders along the way — then heading back north, grabbing our thinking bats, and diving deep into the world of Navy lawyering. We discuss Tom Cruise as a lawyer who’s afraid of flying (Maverick would be so disappointed) and afraid of traveling by boat, his improvised Jack Nicholson impression, and his interest in softball and drinking. We also talk about Demi Moore’s incredible performance, a version of James Hurley that looks more like Twin Peaks: The Return than the Twin Peaks of this era, and Christopher Guest’s least funny role of all-time. Oh yeah, and Jack of course.
