#CruiseClub #004 – Losin’ It (1983)

Losin’ It marks Tom Cruise’s first starring role… and also his worst movie to date. While it’s not a terrible movie, it’s a bit of a mess and doesn’t know whether it wants to be a sex comedy or an emotional, heartfelt drama. To help us make sense of Losin’ It, we’re joined by Christian Larson, the co-host of Monkey Club. We’re packing our bags, robbing a nearby convenience store, and heading down to Tijuana to buy fireworks, get laid, and talk about the best and the worst of Tom Cruise’s performance. We also imagine what Tom Hanks would be like in this role (Could he ever play a character named Woody? Only time will tell!) and find out Larson’s earliest memories of Tom Cruise. Plus, we launch a new game to try to make sense of the next movie on our docket!
