2 Fast 2 Forever #170 – Lady Snowblood (1973)
The next stop in our Tokyo Drift Lap is Lady Snowblood, with a bonus Patreon-only pit stop for its sequel coming soon! Before heading to Japan for Yuki’s roaring rampage of revenge, we spend some time trying to figure out The Voice and finally (!) begin the Fast and Furious Minute about 2 Fast 2 Furious, as soundtracked by David Banner. Then, we dive into Lady Snowblood as we see the many ways it inspired Kill Bill, admire the strong female protagonist at its core, and wonder if the “woman so pretty she must be a murderer” angle is a trope in Japanese. Then, there’s a weird thing about the TV show Clarice and another Stephen King debacle. (Movie conversation begins around 37:45.)
