X is for Podcast #060 – ’80s Mutant Mania: The Bedraggled Dazzler Draggles On In Dazzler!
Genuinely, it’s hard to find a title with less respect for its lead character than Dazzler, and issues 12 to 16 are no different. A victim of its time, the title continues to trudge through misogynistic tropes, reductive stories, and a lack of room for women’s voices in comics in the 80s. That said, Bill Sienkievowicz provides some beautiful covers. Nico, Jonah, and Dylan criticize the title in defense of the Dazzler in an all-new Uncanny X is for Podcast!
