2 Fast 2 Forever #150 – Paris, Texas (1984)
We’re celebrating our 150th episode in style with a little help from our friends (no, sorry, family), as well as with a trip to the desert of Paris, Texas! In our opening, we welcome in a familiar voice for the very first time (and thank a couple people for their awesome generosity), look at the future of movie theaters, and take our shirts off to talk about the first time we drove as we break down another deleted scene from The Fast and the Furious. Then, we walk through the American Southwest to talk about Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas. We discuss one of the greatest scenes in movie history, potentially depressing (but also amazing) versions of Fast & Furious movies inspired by this movie, and whether or not there’s a movie that could be less in Rachel’s wheelhouse. (Movie conversation begins around 40:45.)
