XI4P AU: Spider-Girl Volume 06-08!
It’s the first ever all-Spider-Girl episode of XI4P AU! After last episode’s exciting MC2 miniseries double-feature, Nico and TK settle into a world of MC2 where it’s pretty much just Spider-Girl all the time…or is it? Despite a lack of additional titles, Tom DeFalco & co work tirelessly to keep the characters of MC2 alive, despite an ever-more-crowded cast pushing in on May Day from all sides. First up, take a look at Spider-Girl volume 6, where Spider-Girl, still powerless, takes on the Raptor, a supe’d up Rhodey, and The Avengers – the last one, to protect The Buzz?! Then, the Crazy Face and Funny Face stuff gets…weird, the Green Goblin returns….sorta, and there’s a dog mobster. Legit, his name is Canis, and he’s a lot, but the Kingpin is back…kinda? Spider-Girl experiences some title-based growing pains in volume 7. (1:12:00) Lastly, Spider-Girl hits an incredible creative peak in volume 8, showcasing some of the finest work of the MC2 ever in several powerful issues, exploring the depth of family bonds, the complicated nature of forgiveness, and the delicate tapestry of the tough call. Spider-Girl pushes the limits of her friendships as she continues to explore the world of superheroes. All this and more from the new format of XI4P – ‘Nuff Said.
